What is Alca Market?
A fan-made trading post for Soulframe. Envoys list items they want to sell or buy, and other players contact them to trade in game. The site is a notice board: no items, currency, or payments ever move through it.
Is this an official Digital Extremes site?
No. Alca Market is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Digital Extremes. Soulframe, its items, and its artwork belong to Digital Extremes Ltd.
How do I actually trade?
Find a listing and press Buy (or Sell on a buy order). A whisper message is copied to your clipboard and shown under the listing. Paste it into the in-game chat to contact the envoy, agree on the exchange, and meet at a World Tree. The trade itself happens entirely inside Soulframe.
Do I need an account?
Browsing the market and whispering sellers works without one. Posting listings, setting your trade status, keeping a trade log, and earning reputation require signing in with Discord.
Why Discord sign-in?
It gives the market verified identities without the site ever handling passwords. We receive only your Discord ID and username, nothing else from your Discord account.
What is an envoy name?
Your in-game name. It is unique on Alca Market, first come first served, and it signs the whispers you copy so trade partners know who is contacting them.
How does reputation work?
When a trade is done, the listing owner presses Complete trade and names their trade partner. The partner then sees the trade in their own profile and must accept it. Only after both sides have confirmed can each give the other one point of rep. The database enforces one rep per person per trade, so reputation cannot be farmed by clicking twice.
What do the statuses mean?
In game means the envoy is playing right now, Online means they are around, and Invisible hides their presence. Listings from envoys who are in game sort first, and invisible envoys sort last. Leaving the site while flagged In game automatically sets you back to Online.
What are Arcs?
A fan convention for comparing prices. Each tradable Chordstone is given an Arc value (Hushed 5, Whispering 10, Lilting 40, Melodious 50, Rhapsodic 60), so a price of 2x Lilting can be compared against 1x Rhapsodic + 1x Whispering. Arcs are a sorting aid, not an in-game currency.
What is scutage?
The Drac tax the game charges whoever receives an item in a trade, set by the item's rarity. Listings show it so buyers know the full cost before whispering.
Why can some items not be listed?
Quest items, Founders' items, and other untradables are excluded to match what the game itself allows. The Cannot Be Traded panel on the market page lists them.
Will there be price history and charts?
Yes. Every accepted trade is recorded, and real price history drawn from those trades is planned. The chart on the market page will switch from a level line to genuine data as history accumulates.
