Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using alcamarket.com (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

Alca Market is a fan-made notice board where Soulframe players advertise items they wish to trade. All actual trades are arranged between players and carried out inside the game. The Service never holds, transfers, or guarantees any item, currency, or payment. You trade at your own judgement and risk.

3. Accounts

• Signing in uses Discord OAuth. You are responsible for the security of your Discord account.
• Your envoy name should be your real in-game name. Impersonating another player is prohibited.
• One account per person. Creating additional accounts to manipulate reputation is prohibited.

4. Acceptable use

• No scamming, misleading listings, or bait pricing.
• No harassment or abusive conduct toward other envoys.
• No listings for real-money trading. Items may only be offered for in-game items and currencies.
• No automated scraping, spamming, or attempts to disrupt the Service.
• Nothing illegal, and nothing that violates Digital Extremes' terms for Soulframe.

5. Listings and content

You are responsible for the listings and names you post. The operator may edit or remove any content and may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms, without notice. By posting, you grant the Service the right to display your content to other users.

6. Reputation

Reputation exists to help players judge trade partners. The operator may adjust or reset reputation obtained through collusion, duplicate accounts, or other abuse.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Prices, availability, and other players' honesty are not verified by the Service. The operator is not a party to any trade and bears no responsibility for the outcome of trades arranged through the Service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including lost in-game items or currency.

9. Intellectual property

Alca Market is an unofficial, non-commercial fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Digital Extremes Ltd. Soulframe, its item names, and its world are the property of Digital Extremes Ltd. and are referenced here in a non-commercial fan context.

The Service is built to respect Digital Extremes' work: it does not use datamined or extracted game files, does not read game logs, does not interact with or modify the game client in any way, and does not promote leaked or datamined information. Item imagery on the Service originates from the operator's own gameplay screenshots. Listings and prices are entered by hand by the players who post them.

Digital Extremes Ltd. may request the modification or removal of any material on the Service, or of the Service itself, at any time and for any reason; such requests will be honoured promptly and without dispute. Any other rights holder may do the same. Contact routes are listed in section 12. The Service's own code and original design elements belong to the operator.

10. Changes and termination

These Terms may change as the Service evolves; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use after a change means acceptance. The Service may be modified or discontinued at any time.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
